Etsy shop ON SALE

Just an FYI that my entire etsy shop is ON sale for the month of February!  10% off every listing, even new stuff I am adding.  No coupon code required!  

My first month at Fleetwood Antique Mall has been great!  I am so glad I followed my dreams!  Stop by if you are in the area!  Select furnishings are available from my online inventory but I can have anything there for you to see if you reach out in advance.  It's not too late for Valentine's Day and I made some great little sets with the Fransiscan Starburst themed pillows and a matching wooden wine tag....all wrapped in a red ribbon!  $18 each set.

I also added more Indian Kantha Quilts...there are 4 to choose from at the shop and 1 online in the etsy shop.  I can think of many uses including picnic and festivals, draped over a chair, camp bedding or throw.  The colors are gorgeous!  Here is a peek! 

I will gladly ship any of them if interested. I also picked up an array of placemats!  They are just as awesome!  Available in sets of 2 in the etsy shop and I left a few sets of 4 in the shop.  They are awesome and reversible just like the quilts.

The Eames chairs are in the shop.  The bases remove with a Phillips head screw driver for easy packing.  They have some issues but if you always wanted one or 2, you can score them $200 each or both for $350 at the shop!

The Saving of the Chairs, Plus New Items To Make Your Valentine Swoon.→

My mother**, the most talented seamstress ever, is getting into the meat of our projects!  She has taken apart each piece of fabric including the piping.  Using each piece as a pattern, she is starting to recreate the upholstery in our brand new glorious Vibe Aquatic fabric from Joybird. 

**Margery has been a seamstress for most of her adult life.  She learned the craft sewing her own clothes and currently has a stream of loyal clients bringing her hemming and alteration projects ranging from jeans to sequined formal wear. I encouraged her to dice up my wedding dress and have 2 gorgeous heirloom christening outfits worn by my children and hopefully the next generation.

The guts of these chairs are in great shape!  Taking these apart carefully allows the cord in the piping to be reused.  Here is the new piping!  

After pinning the piping in place on the seat edge, mom fits the new seat on the chair.  Wow! 😍

You can really soon how vibrant and beautiful this fabric is!

I have my work to do which includes sourcing some supplies, sanding and restoring the arms and of course, reassembly!  I am just working on my year end tax stuff to stay ahead of that mess so will be getting a move on.   I have not determined my final sale price for these beauties yet but feel free to email me if you have a serious interest in them.  I will only sell them together, but do have the single chair to do later and will need more fabric so could allow buyer to choose the fabric.  I was thinking of using the Vibe Tangerine.  

MEANWHILE. 

I just added a mint set of Amish Butterprint fridgies to the shop and a nice set of Primary Fridgies. Both are ready to display.  Fresh picked, a set of 3 Daisy/Sunflower Cinderella mixing bowls that i will complete shortly.  I should be able to do well on their price.  My higher priced sets are due to higher acquisition cost and I really am not making much on them, but want to offer the best collectable pieces i can! I have priced the 2 fridge sets for credit VS cash price so save $5 if you have cash for payment.  💰 Have a look!

This pattern is quite wonderful!   I will source the missing bowl and complete the set before it heads to the shop!

Lastly, I took some pics of the Sari blankets. I can get more of these for the time being, so I will gladly ship if anyone is interested in one!  I did not measure, but they are larger than a throw, might be almost sized for twin.  Each blanket is unique.  PERFECT for picnic, beach/pool, music festival, vintage campers and VW bus fans.  Unlike traditional American quilts, these do not have a batting later between the panels.  You will find holes, patches and character in the fabric as these were all vintage dresses.  Imported from India by my wholesaler, they were hand sewn and quilted. This blanket is vibrant and colorful!  Turquoise themed on one side, orange and warm on the other.  Great home decor item! 

Blanket #2 is more neutral in browns and golds.  The fabrics are interesting.  Great for a Boho look, mixed decor and so much more!

MOVING DAY!

Tomorrow I will be moving in to Fleetwood Antique Mall!  It may take me some time to fully stock, but we are starting with the large furniture display pieces and some chairs and see what we can fit!  I will note on the etsy listings which items are available to view at the shop, and also note for you out of town folk, I will need to go there to gather specific questions, take more pics, etc.  Hours are 10am-6pm Wed-Sun and you will find the shop just south of Moselem Springs on route 222.  If you are coming from Reading and the south, it will be on your left.  From Kutztown and the north, on the right.  Look for the life size cows at the street sign.  It really is an ecclectic place and there is a lot of MCM to be had as well as primitive as our area is hot for that.  

What can you expect to see?  Besides a selection of my online furnishings inventory, you will also find a great selection of goodies!  I am taking some of my finest pyrex as I feel no one in the mall is really hitting that market, and as a collector myself, it is one area I just love!  Expect to find a full set of Friendship circa 1971 cinderella nesting bowls and a complete Pueblo casserole dish with lid and plastic hugger.  The Pueblo is a promo piece and it is really cool if you like tribal.  The dish is black, the lid is white with orange/brown native american design.  I also have other cool pieces and a nice 3 pc casserole set of Town and Country.  I am going to put some individual pieces there as well, but I will concentrate on sourcing complete sets if these do well.  If you have not gotten bit by the pyrex bug yet, well, people are not only decorating with these old lovely patterns, they are setting up elaborate displays and changing them out by the season/color/whatever!  There is nothing like a nice display!  I personally collect 50s era snowflakes but you will not find any in my booth!  ;)

Exclusive Furnishings!

Adorable teak veneer bookcase with adjustable shelf.  Just of a few awesome casework pieces available for purchase at Fleetwood Antique Mall at Mad Mod World Vintage! My personal stretch glass collection…but I do have a matching pair of blue Viking Glass pieces packed to go!

I need a nice safe place to show my wares!  I have sourced a matching pair of walnut veneer bookcase topped 3 drawer case (Broyhill).  They are very cool and I hope to keep them stocked with goodies!  They will also be for sale as will most items you see.  If someone buys them, I just have to go find something else!  ;)  I also have a very cute small teak veneer bookshelf with sliding glass doors (above).  It is FABULOUS!  I just oiled her and she is ready to go.    

RETRO THEMED ITEMS

Ok, so I have all of this cool MCM stuff to sell, but I am on to the fact that I do not live in a HOT FOR MCM area.  Hello, we are horse and buggy central!  SO….yes, I am storing stuff here, but I would also like to PAY MY RENT!  So, in order to do that, I have found an awesome wholesale company to select items I feel fit the theme of my shop.  With that said, I have some kick ass stuff coming it! The Honey Do Me tea towels (also for sale direct from me on this web site!) will be there and I just grabbed some more!  I will continue to monitor new items the company puts out and will gobble up anything that fits here!  All are NEW with manufacturer tags.

Indian Sari Quilts and Pillow

Indian Sari blankets and pillows.  Completely gorgeous!  

I also picked up a pair of beautiful Indian Sari quilts and a throw pillow to see how they go over.  Since I niche in vintage camping items, I decided these would make a great addition to that section of the shop!  They are handmade from old Sari dresses that Indian women wear.  They will take pieces and quilt them together in a loose stitch (unlike our heritage here).  You will find a miss match of beautiful brightly colored and even gold threaded accent pieces.  We will also find patches and holes because remember, these were worn!  They are a nice lightweight blanket, both sides are different and no 2 are alike!  I can see these used in home decor, VINTAGE CAMPING, picnicking and hanging out at music festivals!  Very BOHO.  Lets face it…no one I know is an MCM purist and right at the tail end of the era the hippies were taking over!   I hope you guys love these as much as I do!  Stock is plentiful at the moment so I can get more, but there is only a limited supply and I will have to pick up at the showroom myself.  The blankets will be tagged at $50 each, the pillow $30.  I did check etsy and similar blankets are going for much more so I think these are a great deal.  I hesitate to list on line at this point because they are all so different…I just think it would get lost in my inventory!  I might pick up some extras next time I go so that I have some when car show season starts up.  I really do think my VW camping peeps will LOVE them.
