I am getting integrated with MAILCHIMP to start an email list. Mainly, I want this to shoot emails out when I update my blog. That way, you will know when there is a new post. I may also use for periodic marketing updates, but I will definitely try to keep it to a minimum. Sorry I made an annoying pop up when you arrive, but I was hoping it would encourage folks to sign up! Not knowing where my future is headed at this point, I would really like to build my following so if I decide to go rogue on etsy, you guys are with me. Bear with me as I iron out the kinks before the general public has found me. Thanks for helping me on this new venture!
Another exciting recent development! I have just connected with Primitives by Kathy in Lancaster, PA and will be able to purchase items wholesale. Now, I am not that into primitives….and our area is definitely a primitive area. This is exciting to me because as I get closer to my goal of getting local booth space (more to get some inventory out of my house with sales potential!), I will need things that might actually sell around here to make the rent! Selling all Mid Century is kind of like having all my eggs in one basket! There is a very cute line that is all retro/vintage themed and I picked up some starter items to see how they go over. Due to etsy restrictions, these are exclusively available directly from me. If you are interested in purchasing, please email me your request and Paypal info so I can send you an invoice.
Thank you to all who have signed up for the email list! This should be your first email and I hope all goes smoothly! Feel free to contact me if something on your end is not right! I am also on the list so will be viewing along with you!
One last thing. I do not give up on things like identification and other mysteries of what I sell. A few months ago, I had posted on a page with a very knowledgeable Paul McCobb collector about the 2 toned coffee table I have. I was told that this phenomenon started in about 1951 by a retailer in Washington DC who would swap drawers and legs on pieces to have a 2 toned piece and they were sold this way. The trend picked up and over the next few years spread across the country. Pretty cool! I enjoy the 2 toned look of the table and the gently worn top. I hope someone else appreciates it and welcomes it into their home!
