The time has come for me to crawl back in to the underworld from which I came. I am giving notice that I will be leaving the showroom at the end of May. It has been fun having the space and I really wish it would have helped me sell more, but at the end of the day, I am spending a lot of money to be there and it’s just not supported by my sales and ultimately, I do all this work for nothing. If you want to come before I move and save on some great collectible pieces, please come! I am looking to unload as much as I can before I move what is left back into my house. This means I am open to making deals on my already low local prices for furniture items. I will be keeping my booth space for now and you can shop there during Mall hours. I will probably not be buying a whole lot going forward but I am in negotiations to buy a large lot of gorgeous mid century chandeliers and flush mount lighting. The house is getting flipped and I am hoping to take them in to rehome. If you are looking for any lights stay tuned. If there is one thing I learned throughout the journey- if following your passion is not getting you where you need to be, take those skills somewhere that will. I am actively interviewing for jobs and I will find the right one but first I need to clean up my hobby and my house and prepare for what’s next before I poke my eyes out with an ice pick.

My Chairish shop is now at 30% commission and it’s totally sad. I have not increased prices there yet but probably will be relisting some of my restorations and higher end items as my margins were tight in those to begin with.

I’ll be in and out of the showroom in the coming weeks…..I have a laptop full of cases I am working cause I can’t leave the job that is killing me slowly until I find another…….but there is a new life to look forward to……
