A taste of Summer brings an end of an era in more ways than one….

The warm days have arrived even if they take a short break in between the cool ones. Super exciting! That said, I will continue to try to make appearances at the showroom for walk ins. Please reach out if you want to come by, I will try to schedule my stops there around your visits. My days of wide availability will stop as soon as I find full time employment and although I recently bought some new items, my overall feeling right now is to scale back and move on. The locals are not supportive and I am just working hard to pay rent. Not my idea of a dream job. So grab what you love while I got it as my choices will dwindle.

THIS WEEK CHAIRISH ON SALE……but this is DEPRESSING:

My shop will be on sale starting Sunday at midnight and I think runs through Friday. 15% off. If you need shipping, this is the place to buy. Instant quotes.

Chairish has announced that effective early April, they will be raising their commission to 30% (from 22%) unless you commit to $150 a month to upgrade your seller status. Not happening. I will be raising all my prices after this week and sadly, I need to raise them on Etsy as well because I often have to send Etsy shoppers to Chairish and I will not price match myself in a market that is charging more. If you are east of the Mississippi, I got a guy I can quote. Jackie may be back in May for west coast deliveries but I have not checked her schedule yet. I have other shippers I have used through Chairish and I do save info so I can ask around as well.

I have another interview this week so fingers crossed I land it and can finally help out financially around here. I need a new car, mine is 8 and acting funny but I still need to keep her around while I got bigger inventory.

I am down to 2 large case pieces…..the Canadian teak gentlemen’s chest which is a few inches too big for my bedroom or I’d be moving it up there……when you start to realize that you will be done buying like you have and have still have really nice pieces in stock, the intrinsic value of hoarding it for yourself is better than my giveaway price in the open market. 😂. But alas, it’s not mean’t to be for me. The other large piece is the German Shrunk, a grand European atomic piece with lots of storage and it is in the showroom so will need to move along before I move out. If anyone is local and can pick up and pay cash, I am willing to listen to our offer. If you are in the Philly region, I could assist with transport. Each piece fits in my van but I made several trips to get her into the showroom. Think about it and let me know!

I just added a fun retro mini bar set with 3 stools to the showroom. It’ll be a great piece for summer gatherings! Add her to your rec room or man cave! Specs on my website for buy it now or come see it in person by appointment.

If you are not looking for furniture, I have lots of hand sewn pillows, fabrics and more. Things have been trickling out but not fast enough. I appreciate all of your support and I hope you continue to think of me as I downsize and try to get the rest of my inventory out. I have listed some of my collection which includes a few early Herman Miller pieces and a really nice Peabody fiberglass wing back chair. If you’d like to add any of these icons to your collection, I am here for you. I also have many restored things needing special homes as I have invested into making them gorgeous! My booth is pumped with collectibles, weird and some clearance or lower end furniture items. I have a super cute walnut dining set for 2 looking for a first apartment or young stylish couple. Fresh fabric on the seats! Priced to move at $150.

One last thing. I am Hail Mary working Yelp with some free money advertising they gave me. Maybe I am failing because no one knows I am here? If you can please find me on Yelp and leave your review of my services, that may help. I currently have 0 reviews! Thank you for your help!

Have a great spring!

Decorator and Upholstery Fabrics SAMPLE SALE!

Are you a crafter, creator or small goods upholsterer? I got some great fabrics available and welcome you to come see them! I have picked them up from a ‘to the trade’ showroom and the panels are approx 3 yards each, finished edges and you can put them through a curtain rod as they are or take the stitching out. They can be cut up for small projects. No two panels are alike and fabrics range from gorgeous appliquéd sheers and drapery weight to heavier weight upholstery. As a historian of all things, I have sorted the panels and included all matching swatches and info sheets that include fabric content, cleaning, and pertinent info. No guessing! You know what you got, how to use and what the line and color way is! Great for advertising your finished project if you sell them. Along with this, I have mass quantities of swatches in rainbows of colors and textures. I will slowly get things cataloged and listed on Etsy but shop now for best selection. While I pulled a few things out for my own future projects, there are many great pieces! Dining chair seats? I got you! Pillows? Yep. Come see and be inspired to create some fun things for your home. This is a luxury brand only available to the trade. Worth way more than I am asking, as I do pass my savvy buying and acquiring on to you lucky people.

Flat pricing (but as always, the more you buy the better I will flex on that so just ask)

$40 each approx 3 yard panel- includes all color matched swatches and product info sheet

$1 for 5 swatches or $5 for as many as you want, must come to the showroom to root through them!

High end upholstery and decorator fabrics are hard to get a hold of and I am so thrilled to be entrusted in finding this great stash homes. So far, all of my stash belongs to one design house, Kanchi from India, but there will be more coming. Stay tuned! I have a large box full of drapery fabrics and sheers and prob about the same of upholstery fabrics and 2 very nice pieces of leather if anyone makes small items.

Here’s just a few pics of some lovely examples. Most of the panels are in the a neutral colorway but that works with all decor! Trim and boarder samples too, what will you do with them? I can’t wait to hear!

Fresh picks! Maximalism please!

When your romantic and traditional side kicks in, you choose French provincial. I seriously snagged these to prevent the chalk painters from getting them. They were well taken care of and deserve to not be bastardized with a faux finish. The two marble topped pieces are by Weiman furniture which was an heirloom quality manufacturer from Illinois. Not only did they make exquisite traditional furniture, they eventually went into postmodern design and you will find many of their glam modern designs in the highest markets and in the finest interiors. Take a look at the sofa table. It is long and that slab of Portuguese marble is very heavy.

Dimensions are 60.5”   L  19.5 w by 15.5” tall’. That’s a lot of marble! The carved slab sits on the table frame. You’ll need a long sofa to pair this with!

Next and from the same line, ‘Calais’, is a sweet drum table with a matching marble top.

Specs: 26” diameter 23.5” tall

This cutie offers lots of storage and style in one sweet package. Perfect accent in a foyer or living room. Same marble color as the coffee table, Rose Aurora. Look at that lovely pink veining!

Next is a matched pair of end tables featuring open mesh doors. You could add fabric behind the door to close them up and have a different look. I am thinking floral or stripe! Bright colors for that maximalism vibe. They are in excellent condition with only the slightest signs of wear. Marked cherry but no maker. There is a code stamped under them so maybe I can crack it. I will keep searching. These pieces are so romantic and can be intermingled in an eclectic decor.

24-1/4” w by 24” d by 22.5” h Each

I grabbed an eclectic array of vintage kitsch at this home I will be processing and adding to my booth and website if you want to snag anything. Come see me in the showroom!

Now, what do I mean by maximalism? Think bold! Dark and moody interiors full of saturated colors creating a dreamscape of eclectic vibes and mixing traditional, modern and vintage in one room. Here’s a few scenes where you could easily mix these pieces in! Find your favorite jewel tones and go for it! I could see that marble in a room of bright pink tones. As you can see in the first pic below, dark wood works and there is no need to paint of whitewash these gorgeous pieces! I will always advocate for keeping things original when condition does not warrant disturbing. It’s being a good steward of vintage. ❤️ Enjoy! XO Malissa
